All White is Difficult

Hello everyone,
Today I am bringing you a card inspired by a colour combination I wouldn't usually even try. Branka, our hostess for April on the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, has chosen

While I was creating this card with 3 different embossing folders, I was itching to add some colour. Not to mention trying to get a good photo for me was difficult. Being able to save this photo in Photoshop was a blessing.

Because I was restricted to only 1 colour for this challenge, I wanted to bring in as much texture as I could. To achieve this, I went through my embossing folder box and found 3 that could work together. My sentiment panel came from a full-sized embossing folder called Joyful Wishes, which was produced by Couture Creations. For the background, I used Swiss Dots by Provo Craft at the top, and Happy Birthday Stars by Ultimate Crafts at the bottom.

Both the sentiment and background panels have been lifted on extra layers of cardstock to help give more texture to the card. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my creation for the April Colour Challenge on the 52CCT blog.

Until my next post,
Remember to be kind to yourself and others

Rudolf Sends His Love

Hello Everyone,
Can you believe that we are into our 4th month of 2026! The year seems to be in a hurry to be finished. Anyway, onto the reason you stopped by my blog today. With it being the beginning of a new month, it is time for a new sketch over on the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge.

Our host this month is Branka, and she has come up with this sketch for us to create with. As usual with this sketch, you can do many different things. For my card, I stuck really close, just omitting the bow.

The making of this card started with finding the two patterned papers. Then I went looking for cardstock for the mats; this time, I went with two different colours. To finish off the card, I found this cute reindeer image in my digi stash and printed him out, plus the sentiment that completed the elements.

Thanks for stopping on in and looking at my creation using the April Sketch from 52CCT. Please stop on by the challenge blog and see what the other designers did with this sketch.

Until my next post,
Be Kind to Yourself and Others
