Hello everyone,
I am taking a break from shifting things around in my craft space and decided to make some cards and maybe do a little crochet later. For my cards, I decided to check out 2 of my favourite challenges to see what inspiration they might offer. There was a wonderful sketch on the Try a Sketch on Tuesday site, then Double Trouble is having a Some Thing, Any Thing, Every Thing challenge. So I decided to pull these challenges together and made 2 cards. From my stash I pulled an older Kasiercraft patterned paper pad. This one is called Everlasting; I think it was designed for wedding, engagement, or anniversary cards. But I have made 2 all occasion cards.
So, to pull the ingredients together for the Double Trouble challenge, I have used the following: 3 patterned papers, 2 different-coloured mats, and 1 glittered succulent image. For some reason, my photo doesn't show my sentiment that well.
It was fun pulling these elements to create some cards. Thanks for stopping by and seeing my creations using these challenges.
Until my next post,

Tracy, what a beautiful lace-themed all-occasions card! I enlarged you card to see the sentiment,,, I agree that it's weird how it disappears into the background. There are edges of white that might be causing the problem. Regardless, I love your card and your interpretation of TSOT's sketch while incorporating Double Trouble's 3-2-1 elements! I've been to Queensland twice - the most recent this past November when we spent several days in Scarborough visiting my daughter's in-laws. Beautiful place!! Thank you for sharing your card with both our challenges!!! -Donna
ReplyDeleteVery cute and I love the doily patterned paper. Thanks for sharing with us at both Double Trouble and TSOT :)
ReplyDeleteUsing the lacy patterned paper enhances the sketch design beautifully. I also love the floral image matted in pink. I agree with Donna regarding your sentiment, but it's still a pretty card. Thank you for sharing your card with Double Trouble and TSOT. (I have a cousin who lives in Queensland - she is Australian, not American, and has visited us in the USA several times. I hope to visit Australia and NZ soon.)
ReplyDeleteMakes me smile that you have chosen us as your two favorite challenges... we love your participation. Those patterned papers really complicate each other and your focal point is so pretty against it... almost thought you crocheted the piece where you put your sentiment. Thanks for sharing your enhanced recipe with us at Double Trouble and TSOT.
